thanks guys. the engine appears to be a 78-79 from the web site of Mortec.com. I also called the phone # and they are no longer known as Aarons Automotive but now called Performance Power Train. I had their(Aarons) serial # but they could tell me nothing. Thanks for all the help. Now I must decide whether to use it or not. It was wrapped up when I got it and the fellow said it was a 350. I had heard it run in his truck and had no reason to not believe THIS guy. I guess he honestly didn't know himself. It was running and sounding good. Any way, I got a good deal on it so I'm not "hurting" over it!! I may still put it in the Panel and hit the road. Thanks again for your help.
