So I have a '57 1 ton panel and the IFS from a 75 suburban. I want to add the IFS for the power steering and disk brakes.

One way I have found to do this swap is found here
I like this way because it does not involve fully cutting the frame.

However, after taking a few measurements I have found the 75 frame width is exactly the same as the 57 at the point at which I cut it. The thoughts with this is that it would be easier because it would be sliding one front end out and one in. Knowing that a significant amount of gusseting and plating would be added for strength.

I would plan to use this as a daily driver.

Any suggestions?
