The early ones had the choke coil in or on the manifold. They will not match up with your manifold. The later ones, late 70's early 80's had electric choke & was self contained. They were the best ones. They had a lug cast into the houseing that prevents the link from the throttle lever to the metering rod from falling out, which was common on the earlier models. Make sure the screws that hold the bracket for the air cleaner bolt are tight. They have been known to fall out & distruck the engine. They say money can't buy happiness.
