yes I have, and investigated all the alternatives, which is why I'm going with a top line

no point in wasting money buying constant frustration ....but in your case, a propane/110 fridge could easily be found used very reasonable
here's a bit about bigger alternators [biggest you could use], but a 2nd battery will just add to the load, even if you use deep cycles .... I'd suggest spending some time studying mobile electrical systems - with that van you have the perfect platform for solar panels
