On a 6v system with dual Carter-Webers and electric chokes (from Langdon's), I am running a hot lead from the voltage regulator. The lead has a 10-amp in-line fuse to an oil-pressure switch (that comes "on" at 4 psi). The output lead from the switch is split into two lines - one to each choke.
There is a need for an additional 1/8" NPT T-fitting in the oil filter line (that already has a T-fitting for a line to the oil pressure gauge).

This seems to work fine at 6v (the chokes are mode for 12v). The chokes are heated only when the engine is running (producing 4 psi oil pressure or better). It's a pretty clean set up with no need to run a lead from the engine compartment to under the dash.
