Tomorrow my 39 Chevy 1/2 gets a new headliner. The upholster said that the headliner was a two piece that connects in the middle with metal trim. I have two trim parts, one for the front and one for the back. There is a bar in the middle that has tapped holes for screws but I do not remember ever having a trim piece that goes in the center of the headliner. Did the 1939's have a center trim? I had a 51 1/2 and I remember that being two pieces and having a trim in the middle. I want the 39 to have a padded headliner and he told me if it was padded and did not have a trim part in the middle it would sag. Can anyone give me some advice on this? Thanks in advance.
