Another to do is after soaking them take the oil pan off take disconnect the pistons from the crankshaft then take a chunk of wood and a 5 lb maul and smack them. This way you don't risk breaking flywheel teeth or damaging the piston. Its a little more work but it sounds like like your going to have to remove the pistons anyways to hone them.
