Need some help. If you have 60-66 C10 with the fender mount spare tire what size is it?

The reason I ask is my manual says the original size tire for a 65 C10 is a 7.10-15, which is 28.8 inches in diameter. if I put a tire that is 28.8 inches in diameter in the fender mount spare tire carrier it rubs the back of the cab?

So I was wondering what other guys are using for the spare.
