I had a car dealer ask me if my truck was for sale. I told him I would entertain offers. He told me he wouldn't offer what I "thought" it was worth. I told him I "know" what it is worth, and that he didn't need to bother telling me what his offer was. I never heard his offer and didn't care.
Do like I do. I tell 'em what its worth to ME. If they get all huffy and tell me to be "reasonable", I tell 'em that I believe in free-market competition, and they can go and find one cheaper somewhere else.
Shuts 'em up every time!
