Just when i had it figured out.....everything changed. my GMC 1 Ton had what i thought was a 216 motor. i bought a GMC owners/drivers manual, and it only lists a 228 until you get into the fc 300 series, which is over 1 ton. then to top it off, i looked at the grills of the heaver trucks and the grill has 3 cross pieces, and half tons have 4. then looking in the gallery, someone says there truck is a half ton, and has the same grill.
i was told that only the 216s had the valve cover bolts through the top. so at this point i have no clue other then the door sticker says i believe 85 hp. (too dark to look now) anyone able to clear this up? :confused:
