That is exactly what my 51 is doing also. I had my starter looked at by a guy in Iowa, what is it with Iowa? Ha. I think I'm gonna do what atomarc says, and get a new battery. I too did the charger trick, and it heated the cables,and starter so bad, that I think I fried the starter again. If you get yours going, please let me know what you did.
