My first thought would be the battery. I would charge it up completely or replace it with a charged, know good one. Clean and check all your cable connections on the battery, the starter and ground cable termination point.
With a fully charged battery and a nice cool starter you might be back in business. When a starter fizzles, it usually stops cranking altogether.
