The S-10 T-5 87 on back is the best one to use. The 88 up used an elec. speedo & your cable will not hook up to it. There is a tag on one of the rear houseing bolts that ID it. In the left lower corner is the number you want. It starts with 1352. Take that number & bring up a chart on the internet & it will give you the ratio's. You want at least .076. .072 is better. .086 is not worth putting in unless you have a high rear end or very sluggish engine. 1352-145 is the most common. It comes on 85-86 S-10s & has good ratio's.
