Look at the bendix,,,GEAR for cracks,,,,,IN THE GEAR!!! and check the ring,,,,,GEAR for false teeth,,,, I mean worn teeth!!! Make sure all starter bolts are tight and there are no cracks in the housing(nose-cone of the starter).
