I'm back to work on my truck now after a few weeks away from it. I have it mostly back together and fired it up after a few months of not running. My starter is not disengaging though. Its a 61 235 in my 52 baby, it has always ran good. Any ideas on how to correct this without replacing it? I haven't pulled it out yet to take a look but thought I would get some good advice from all the expericend people here first. It does disengage if I let off the starte pedal before it starts but when it starts it grinds to beat the band. Any help would be great. As always thanks in advance.
