I think you will find that an s10 is a little narrow (54" outside of brake drums). Grab a tape measure, there are lot's of options. Spring perches will most likely need to be changed, no matter what you decide to use.

My brother in-law "27Capitol" has a '51 also, and he chose one from a Pontiac Trans Am (I think it's a '78) positraction unit.
