If you had a 3/4T, switching to the 4:10 rear-end from an approx. '68-'72 would improve road speed and is an easy swap. Don't forgot to look at those brakes if you intend to go freeway speed. A dual reservoir master cylinder and a new front end with disc brakes would be very good.
Any relation to Prouty Insurance which used to be in Poulsbo? Former NKHS grad here. 1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.
