I'd say there's no "real" advantage over what you have - the drums [kept in good condition] will do as good a job .... until you're in a position to spend most of your time in the fast lane with heavy loads, put your cash and effort into more important things - front discs [not rear] would be a relatively easy "upgrade" for that year, but not at all necessary, might only give you added fade resistance
