For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 66 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 66 | I have a 1970 GMC Custom Camper Special. It has four wheel drum power brakes. I've heard from some of my dads friends that have owned one of these era trucks that I should get disk brakes for at least the front. Although I'm 13 and have only driven it in the neighborhood at about 10 or 15 mph, it still seems like they have just as much stopping power as the four wheel disk minivan. Could someone please explain the advantages of disk brakes aside from the easier replacement?
