Well, 40,000 lbs of weight would be too much for that truck. It could have Fronts as low as 7 and the Rears are most likely 34's. That would be 41,000 GVW. The truck with the box and hoist will be somewhere around 16,000. That would only give you a carrying capacity of 25,000. The 478 V-6 in that truck would have no problem pulling 25,000, but it would be a little slow getting up to speed. I used to pull 20,000 with 478 in a single axel truck and it had plenty of power. For cubic inches and HP the 478 is very strong. As mentioned earlier it has tons of torque.
