Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!
| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | If your toeboard is rusted half way up then I would suggest buying the replacement floorboards that come with 1/2 the toeboard all in one piece.(for each side) All vendors do not carry the floorboard/toeboards like this but I do know the Car Truck Shop in California carry it. The shipping is sort of steep but barter to with them to send both pieces for the same shipping price!
As mentioned the inner panels are all about the same. I "think" Jimcarter may have some made here in the USA. CAll them and ask if they are "grey" as the USA pieces are that color. If they are black then they came from accross the pond.
The little windlace strip can be aggravating. If you can't drill the welds out as suggested there is some available. JimCArter carries that windlace piece but it ain't cheap. I paid $19 for a 12" piece to weld to my new inner panel! Its not hard to make but the body man wanted it ASAP! Good luck and keep us posted. | | |
