There are better solutions, though. 1 would be to use the speakers that mount in the factory location above the inside rearveiw mirror. The speakers and the housing are available from many of the suppliers in the Links section. Those will require drilling into the inside cab roof (4 mounting holes and a wire access hole) and some tricky wire routing through the A pillars. Option 2 would be to get the kick panel speakers. Those include new kick panels (actually, the hinge access panels) that have a surface mount style speaker built into them. I'm not too familiar with the installation on these, as I went with the stock location style speakers.
