If the parts are not going to show, i usually hit them with a rattle can primer to slow the rust process. If they show, i use a variety of different rattle can colors. I have used aluminum, cast iron, iron, etc. There is even a zinc paint. There are many metal sprays, and on some parts, i just clean them and leave them alone. It depends on the look you want on each piece. I wouldn't get to far away from the original color, because if you get a scratch, it'll show to much. Cecil........
