Again,the story of the special head bolt persists.There is one special head bolt,it's designed to restrict oil flow to the head when using a later head on an earlier block.Other than that,there are only 2 type bolts,long and short,listed for 216,235 and 261 from around 1940 to 1962.
The oil flow does not pass by the threads on a 235/261,actually check out a block and head to see the oil passages.
