OK, you have set the point gap but now you have to set the dwell. Here are some good instructions on
setting dwell Some voltmeters will have a dwell setting on them. Good luck.
Also, The pointer for setting timing is right in the middle of the hole by the starter. If there is no pointer then shoot for the middle. Should be close enough. You may have to advance it some. Just see where your engine likes it. They all seem to be different. Here in Denver I run mine about 4 degrees advanced. Hope this helps.
