Maybe that should have been the first question. Most the IFS solutions are geared to hot rodders, not working trucks.
My guess is that the best IFS for a real truck would be one from a 1-ton pickup. The Mustang II, Pacer or Camaro clip approaches aren't going to have the load capacity or brake capacity a real truck needs.
If hot rod is what you are building, and you're not going to haul a load, another approach might be to find a front axle from a 1/2-ton, adapt that to the front of your 1-ton and then use a disk brake kit.
