i agree with everyone on the sticking with major brand, depending on what all you need welder for on what voltage to get. myself i am a hobbiest mainly my truck, so i bought a lincoln 140 110 volt, also in my budget, but the best money i spent was on auto-darking helmet, my biggest problem was not being able to see what i was welding but not now
