Don't worry about pre-filling the torque converter.
Put 4 quarts in, start the engine, add 3 more, then add 1/2 at a time (checking fluid level each 1/2 quart)
Then shift manually into each gear PRNDL-LDNRP. Check the fluid level again.
It's better to leave it a little low(at the add line) than to over-fill it.
