heres how I did mine,
looking at the bottom of your rear fender right bought center then look straight across to the frame, there is a hole in the frame for the brace, I bolted my brace to the frame loosely and just swung it until it rested in a nice spot on the lower edge of my new fender it will basically line up where it looks right, then mark an drill your hole in the new fender,bolt it up an ya done.
