Yep, and if it doesn't, start checking to see if the points in the distributor "spark" when you turn the engine over by hand(DISCONNECT the BIG COIL WIRE coming out of the top so that it doesn't fire and accidentally start when you are doing this). If it doesn't, replace the points/condenser. If it does, then the coil is bad or the sparkplug wires are bad. Another, quicker way to do this is simply to disconnect the big coil wire coming out of the top of the coil from the distributor and hold it really close to the engine to see if it arcs.
