I am hooking up a T-5 to a 250 and I ran into some problems last night. I have an 11" clutch with an 11" pressure plate from a sbc, and I also made my own spacer out of 1/2" steel. Last night after I got everything bolted up I hopped in the truck started it up, put the clutch in and tried to put in reverse, and all I got was grinding. To me this means that the clutch is not disengaging, but before I installed it I made sure the clutch had some clearance (1/4"). Does the clutch just need to be adjusted?
