I hope you guys won't mind if I jump-in here with my own question since it is related. I pulled my MC (1951 3/4T) to install a new kit. But the tiny hole that Wrenchbender referred to (compensating port) appears to be blocked. I've tried to push a tiny wire through the hole but it won't go. When looking into the cylinder with a flashlight I don't even see the other end of the hole. The bore of the cylinder is in good shape, not pitted or corroded, so I would think I would be able to see the hole. I haven't honed the cylinder yet, do you think that would free-up the end of the hole? Would a machine shop be able to drill-out the hole? Any help would sure be appreciated. Thanks!
