Sorry so long to reply but I have a 54 that I'm putting a custom radiator in with a custom mount and just looking for info about the need to put a vibration dampener somewhere in the mounting of the radiator, whether it is to the custom mount or the chassis. If I use rigid mounts for the entire thing, what will happen?
It's hard to say unless you've seen it before. The design engineers thought it best to cushion the support and I will follow that in fear of what might crack if I don't. We can give better/correct advice if we can see what you're doing. Got a camera?
