I bought a pair of safety goggles at HF. I was using them properly attached to my face, nice & snug while grinding the welds on my windshield posts.I AM THROWING THEM OUT IN THE GARBAGE. I just spent 2 hours at the ER getting metal pulled out of my eyeball. They have little holes in the sides & across the top, I assume for vent holes, and the metal grindings must have come through the vent holes and embedded into my right eye about 1 millimeter below my pupil.
Next will be a better pair of goggles AND a face shield. From now on any safety item will be from a reliable source for safety. I don't think I will trust the jack stands I got there anymore either. I can see that the stuff made in China isn't, in my opinion, worth my trust.
