If you are having the crank turned or cylinders bored & intend on doing some serious driving I would say yes. Just a minor ring valve job it wouldn,t be nesessary. Nothing is more pleasing to drive than a well balanced engine. You will probably want to include the flywheel, damper, & clutch.
