It's amazing the difference a couple o' thou' will make! Rebuilding the carb is always a good idea if you think it's been a while. If you want to mod, there are several tech tips regarding pumping up the 235. If you are doing a full rebuild and can bore it out, you can get almost 200hp out of it, and it should still be reliable. Manifolds, headers, head porting, etc. can all help with power. Keep sking questions and you will get answers, but don't be shy about using the search engine here. Sometimes it is slow, but the results are worth it.
Current fleet (subject to change w/o notice) \'49 GMC 3/4-Ton , 60 Austin Healey Frog-eye Sprite (some assembly required), 2011 Dodge Avenger, 2015 Jeep Cherokee. No, they don't all run. My other ride is a (B737)no, (B767)no, A320.... Update... was Embraer E190, now Boeing B787. Knowledge is a wonderful thing, but ignorance means you don't know you can't do something.
