Great to hear things are much better! My opinion on your questions.

1) Seating the rings will probably take a few hundred miles. Vary your speed & engine RPM for a while.

2)I assume you replaced your pan gasket when you had the engine apart. The excess vacuum from the PCV system had to pull air from somewhere. It probably sucked your gasket in somewhere. Gas in engine oil is not good- change it!

3)I personally would NEVER use most oil additives. All you are doing is masking a problem. Most additives seem to be used as a last resort for someone trying to get a few more miles out of a tired engine. I worked at an engine rebuilder many years ago and hated tearing down an engine someone used "engine rebuild in a can" in.
