FWIW, the vibrator will go out first on these old radios and you can get them (solid state at RADIO DAZE...www.radiodaze.com) as replacements. They also have any tube that you may want. I replaced the vibrator tube along with other tubes (from RADIO DAZE) on mine and it is working fine. Also the on/off switch is a weak link on these radios. You should check if the on/off switch is working as desinged before replacing anything. And then my all means replace the vibrator!!
