I will just check on something here. The small wire for the antenna should have the 1/4" bared section inserted in the small hole inside the antenna socket. That hole is about 1/8" in diameter, or less. Most likely from what you have said so far, the audio section is working and so is the main power supply. Also, is the tube that is not lit up warm to the touch?
