Yeah Ben, I had the same problem when I painted my doors. Since I didn't mask it, the paint got all over the edge of the glass and made it kinda hard to see out the windows. Not to mention it got all over my door handles. Next time I think I'll just let the doors rust till they fall off.

Like any painting project, I would take measures to not let paint get where it shouldn't, such as on the working parts of the linkage.
I had not thought about retaining heat though. I'll take that into consideration. Thanks for the heads-up.
