There is a diaode in the wire, probably near the alternator, that keeps the flow from coming back through. Look for a slight bump in the wire. Don't know if it's still good or not. Try rewiring it in and see what happens. Hopefully you didn't throw the old one away yet. If ya did, Patricks has em for ya.
