The series of dyno tests I ran a few years ago showed a 5% net power LOSS after adding the slick 50 and doing a run-in according to the directions on the can. The engine was a nearly new Ford 300 cubic inch I-6, HP tested every 500 RPM from 1,500 to 4,500 RPM.
The next time I was involved with a slick 50 engine was a 3-liter Buick V-6 with 33,000 miles on it and a broken crankshaft. When the owner insisted on putting the stuff into the reman engine I installed, ("Ive run it since the car was new!") I voided his warranty!
