If you can find some scrap wood around a construction site I would say go for it.....but if you have to buy it you may have to buy a bigger piece than you need. So, use the money wisely and get a fiberglass one....OR if you have an old one to go by let a Heating and Air make you one in their sheet metal shop. I had one made not to long ago and it only cost me $25. I drilled the holes and it worked really nice......and if you "know someone" you can probably get it cheaper than that!

Do it once...do it right. Even if it takes longer.
