That's what I think I'll have to do. The only yard around here,which I refer to as "the alleged wrecking yard",has ssome older trucks.I saw 3 of the L-60's E-70's Chevt 3/4 tons,but he wants 150.00 for just the pumpkin from one. He says thats cuz the rear end's no good to him without the guts. Is that a fair price? I don't usually have to resort to wrecking yards-I usually know someone who has what I need and will trade,so I don't know what a fair price would be. As I said before,if I can't change the brakes to something smaller diameter,I'd rather just swap to a different rear end. Any idea what will work? I can arrange spring pads and such,but I've already had to pass on a free Ford Dana 60 because the axle hubs were about 1/8th inch too big to fit through my wheels. (guess I'll have to carry a wheel around to test fit on every axle I look at.)
