Some time back I found the inside of my rear rims dripping with gear oil. Pulled the hubs and the drums were soaked as were the shoes. Took it all apart and cleaned and roughed up the shoes and drums. Figured the culprit was the axle vent which had been sealed closed. Took that apart and cleaned it. Today I again noticed oil on the rims, pulled it all apart and although it was not as soaked as the first time, there was gear oil on the parts, especially on the RH side. Going to get two new axle seals and have them changed. I hope that it is problem, possibly too much pressure from previous, has ruined the seals. The diff and tranny are at the correct fluid levels. Could it be anything else? Thanks.
