I, like above, used the product called Right Stuff. I picked it up at Advance Auto. It was about 5 bucks a quart and seems to work well. I put it in a spray bottle as that seems to get into all the nooks and crannies and then wipe down. Sometimes if you used it too heavy it dries to a white powder which can be wire brushed off. It has an odor that doesn't smell too great and can irritate your nose and skin. After it is completely dry it turns black and can be primered. Good luck and have fun.
