I don't know guys, but I had a 48 parts truck that did not have x braces and my '49 does not have them. But I had a '51 years ago that I belive had X braces. There is a picture in my webshots below of the '48 radiator. Some one wanted to see the braces that run from the core support down to the lower splash apron. This weekend maybe I can take a look at my neighbors '52 and see if it has them.
