Well, I put my 235 in and started it. It had a terrible knock. So, I took it to the Midwest all truck national and let some guys listen to it. Everyone had a different opinion of it. It sounded like a rod to me. Well, I took it to the machine shop that built the motor and they pulled the pan, and much to mine and their delight. The noise was the rod bolt rubbing on the baffle in the pan. So, this could happen to you. It sounded terrible but became less noticeable as it rubbed the baffle down.
