| | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 388 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 388 | I remember trying to use the throttle knob as a "cruise control" on my '47 Chevy, back in 1955. It was not at all satisfactory, as it was nearly impossible to maintain a steady speed, and it was disconcerting to have to coordinate the brake pedal and hand throttle to slow down.
