If you need a carb o-haul you need an experienced mechanic. Those are good carbs. but need to be freshened up occasionally. There are some things you can check & do your self. Adjust the idle speed as low as you can & still be comfortable. There are two links between the lower section of the carb (throttle body) & the center section (fuel bowl). Make sure they are working when you open & close the throttle. Sometimes the link comes out of the metering rod & lets it stay on full rich. If it is out put it in with needle nose pliers & bend it towards the rod. Move the throttle open & shut a few times to make sure it doesn't come out again.
